DINGHY DOCK ART CLASS WAS A SUCCESS!
December 10th, 2022
Our first 'floating on the water' art class is complete! Thank you Dinghy Dock Pub for being lovely hosts. The class went from drawing half circles to adding lights to our cabin. Kudos to everyone who participated!
SAVANNAH SIPPING SOCIETY

Dabbling with Denny commissioned their first background stage painting for the Protection Island play: Savannah Sipping Society. The play is going on for 3 days and the painting has gotten great reviews! Actors and participants were delightfully surprised of the size of the painting (46 x 70) and commented of how it made the scenes more realistic.
UPCOMING POP-ART SHOW AT BUZZ COFFEE

Dabbling with Denny will be doing a pop-up art show at Buzz Coffee on November 20th, 2022. It will feature a live demo and Denny will be taking commission requests at this time. There will be painting and products for sale too!
THREE ART-EXPRESSION CLASSES IN SEPTEMBER

Participants were asked to close their eyes and let the marker and their subconscious do all the work. And it worked! We got the coolest paintings from this experiment!
AGNES RUNNING FOR MAYOR OF NANAIMO

I am running for mayor of Nanaimo but have been keeping both goals separate. I'd also like to be transparent! So, I promise to excuse myself from meetings regarding anything to do with art if I'm voted for mayor!
COAL MINE MURAL IS COMPLETE

We were grateful to be accepted as one of the vendors of the Nanaimo Car Trunk Sale. We showcased our elephant made from recycled materials as well as paintings that were on recycled plywood. In the end, we met great people and connect with the Nanaimo community.
AN EVENT THAT MADE US TALK ABOUT ART

The day celebrated the Museum reopening on Protection Island and along came with it a garden party with raffle and hotdogs and lemonade. The weather was perfect and the best part was having the opportunity to showcase our paint lid cans for the month of July! Our best memory is everyone who talked about their favorite paint lid can ying-yang art. It brings us joy to make people feel something.
